What an eSIM does

An eSIM is a digital SIM profile installed directly on a supported phone, tablet, or laptop. It lets your device connect to a mobile network without inserting a plastic SIM card.

A travel eSIM is usually data-only. It gives you mobile internet in a specific country or region while your regular SIM can stay installed for calls, SMS, or banking verification.

How eSIMer plans work

You choose a destination, buy a plan, install the eSIM profile, then turn it on for mobile data when you reach the covered destination.

Most plans start when the eSIM first connects to a supported network. Always check the plan details because some provider plans can have different validity rules.
