Can I use calls or SMS with my eSIM?

Most eSIMer travel plans are data-only. They do not include a local phone number, traditional voice calls, or SMS.

You can use internet-based apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, FaceTime, Signal, Google Meet, or similar services over mobile data.

If you need bank SMS or calls to your regular number, keep your primary SIM active for calls and SMS while using the eSIM for mobile data.

Check roaming charges with your home carrier before enabling your primary SIM abroad.
